Day before Yr 4 starts....
we decided to spend it at Avoca Beach and Lagoon.
The boys had fun catching some waves
although poor Alec got stung by Bluebottles :(
After they had enough of waves, they went for calmer waters
and did some kayaking.

2017 Awards
We left for BKK on the day of the school's
award ceremony and so did not know he's been
awarded 3 certificates until today!
Went to school to find out which class he's assigned to,
as well as, meet his teacher and collect his portfolio.
And then surprise, surprise!
Just received these 2 photos which Lisa Hopper
forgot to send me.
Hugh was supposed to go on stage to receive his awards
if we'd been there :(

Second Kayak Experience
Stuck to Avoca Lagoon as the water's calm
and the carpark is close by.
(didn't have to carry kayaks a long way)
He's getting quite familiar with his kayak
and able to manouvre rather well.
