musician in the making

Grandma bought Hugh a xylophone for Christmas but decided to give it to him today. He definitely loves it and also enjoys getting the applause from his audience.

little night bird

It doesn't matter how much nap he gets in the afternoon, Hugh's always full of energy at night.

boogie babies

Hugh attends the Boogie Babies every Tuesday. It's a music movement for babies and toddlers held at the Organic food & Cafe in Dubai Mall.

Here's a typical song and play with the "parachute". Sometimes he's a happy and willing participant...

Other times, he has his own aganda or prefers to sit and watch.

the friendly boy strikes again...

This time at the Dubai Mall promenade.

2nd visit to the atlantis

Hugh visited the Atlantis hotel for the second time today with Mummy's friends. We believe he's having more fun this time.

Of course he's still doing the pointing...

What a nice shot with Elaine!

his idea of fun

Running around (usually in the opposite direction as Mummy), climb up and down stairs and lying on the ground (basically anywhere) is his idea of fun. Try stopping him and see what he does!

faster, mummy!

Mummy's always been afraid to let Hugh ride on her shoulders... and the first time she attempts it, he kept moving and "jumping"! Thanks, boy!

little lego neighbourhood

Mummy built a little neighbourhood with Hugh's first lego set. It didn't survive long though as some human tornado flattened the whole place and left a large pile of rubble :)

1st molar

His 9th tooth is a pre-molar on the right lower jaw.

Conjunctivitis

Hugh's got his first case of conjunctivitis today :( Daddy reckons from the sand at the beach but who knows... Poor fella woke up the next day and couldn't open his eye; must have been quite scary as he probably didn't understand it. Oh sayang!

up & bird...

are the words he uttered today!

He repeated UP when we were looking at the helicopter flying by and needless to say BIRD when the winged creatures were flapping their wings over our heads. Don't ask me why the boy seems to be looking skywards.

sand castles

Hugh strolled into the room of Karen and Anne's last week and chatted with them before heading to their TV to change the channels.

They became fast friends and spent quite a lot of time together thereafter; went to the beach, watched the Zulu dance and had a few meals together. During a walk along the promenade to the lighthouse, Karen bought a shovel and bucket set for him. So here's the first sand castle made from the bucket. This blog entry is for both you ladies! It was really nice meeting you at Breakers Resort.

Mummy made a total of 15 sand castles with the bucket today. Yes, not all can be seen in the background here because someone destroyed a few of them before this photo was taken.... and the rest after.

a little trim

Mummy trimmed his fringe as it was closing in on his eyes. Not a bad job eh?
