sticky friend
Hugh is finally able to see this stick insect because it's not perch on a branch like the ones in the Wildlife World. This one climbed out of the garden waste bin and happily stayed in this position the whole afternoon.

various modes of transportation
The boy has a real treat this trip
as he gets to travel on many types of transportation.
Plane to Melbourne.
Taxi to hotel.
Free City Circle tram.
Ferry Cruise to Scienceworks.
Tram to zoo. By the way, this is the last time we see his sunnies as he left them on this very tram :(

He was happily snapping away just before we
entered the Butterfly area.
Loves this green one.
Amazed by this large brown one.

The first animal he wanted to see were the giraffes.
Then he wanted to see the elephants.
And we stayed here for a long time because
one of them did a wee and a poo
which made his day.
So we had to wait for another elephant to do the same!
Fascinated by how the baby Orang Utan
climbed up the trees as well as its mother.
He wouldn't go near a real elephant in BKK but he'll sit on this one :)

Surprisingly attentive to Coach Lachlan.
