getting ready for outdoor living

Spring is here and we're getting ready for the outdoor life we love so much!

Got this gazebo from Bunnings Warehouse and a new BBQ! 

Any excuse to get excited will do!

The BBQ's already started work tonight...

... and we had steaks, pork chops and corn!

We have now gone past a whole week without the dummy! Yeah!

Hugh wore his undies all afternoon and went to the toilet twice :)

Only removed them before getting into the bath tub for a pom pom in the evening!

Today we had a trial run making HRH's birthday cake.

He requested for a ... ahem, dinosaur cake!

Uncle Ken gave him on his last birthday :)

first night's sleep without dummy

We were supposed to throw away his dummy on his 3rd birthday but he acted up during dinner so we took this opportunity to "discard" his dummy tonight. Of course he cried and kept asking for it and it was pretty heartbreaking but we needed to be firm.

All's well the next morning. The boy woke up and asked for his dummy which was declined and he got a bit grumpy but managed to greet Mummy 'Good morning!' with a smile :)

putting up trampoline 2nd time

Weather's great today so we decided to finally get off our lazy butts to put up the trampoline...

plus we'll need it for the boy's 3rd birthady party.

As usual, our friend's always very helpful.

Uncle Ken & Aunty Viv game him his birthday present early and

Mummy helped attach the Knapford Station

to his existing railway network on the play table.

The 5 trains Mummy bought on ebay also arrived today 

hence Sodor Island was very busy today!

Roaming the streets of Surfers' Paradise on Uncle Ken's shoulders.

Yay! Food is here!

And food was Korean BBQ :)

After dinner we dropped in at the nearby arcade and

he spent a good half hour on this game which we didn't pay for.

Attempted the suspended obstacle course in Sea World mostly by himself!

Mummy's only allowed to follow behind and not hold his hands!

woo-hoo!

He didn't make the minimum height requirements for many of the rides

but just made this one... phew!

And seeing the thrill he got from this was priceless!

Wanted to go horse-riding at Mt. Tambourine but made a mistake with the days.
