Diff kinda afternoon delight

Jenny arrived this morning and met us for afternoon tea at the Intercontinental.

It was pouring after our dinner at The Rocks but we decided to make a dash (about 15minutes) to the hotel. Daddy draped his windbreaker over the stroller but Hugh preferred to have it off. Do you reckon he loves the rain?

We chose this restaurant because we thought the boy might enjoy the performance of a Teppanyaki chef ... and of course the food's supposed to be great. He practised using the chopsticks before dinner was served...



... and enjoyed his lemonade.



He was also fascinated by the chef at work...





...but had a better time playing with the lobster's head.



Once he's finished dinner, he decided it would be fun pinching Daddy's face.

Hugh has a little drink after check-in...


... and we walked along George Street...


... and he fell asleep despite the noise the crowd made in the streets.

Next we drove over to Gladgunsten for lunch/tea/dinner :)

Of course he opens his presents first.




Chow time... lots of meat here!


Has a game of Avatar on the wii or so he thinks.


Cuddles up with Georgi... seems like his favourite thing to do.

The loud pops don't scare this boy. Infact, he loves them...



... so much so he even pops the bon bons by himself!

He steps into the Nana's; immediately his face lights up when he sees the cubby house and invites himself in :)



Inside he finds a bunch of cool presents and gets a bit overwhelmed by them all.

On Christmas morning, the boy wakes up still half asleep but sees the train table...



After he's had a few goes with the trains, he opens a present...

... and another...



... and another...



... and another...



...and another...



...and leaves a pile of wrapping paper on the floor...



...and then we're off to Newie to collect more presents!

During his Christmas Eve afternnon nap, Daddy and Mummy constructed this train table and tracks. Can't wait to see the expression on his face on Christmas morning :)

Before going to see Santa on the creek, we had a nice lunch at the Lake Macquarie Yacht Club where the view was great and the food excellent... and the boy was given some form of entertainment too.
