free play!

Mummy brought Hugh to a children's play area in Dubai Festival City last week. It was pretty nice with a toddler section and cost Dhs40 per hour.

However, today Daddy and Mummy found 2 places which are free of charge! One's inside Babyshop and the other's in The Toy Shop. Well they are free unless you end up buying something :)

Believe it or not this outfit was given to Hugh at his baby shower (pity we forgot who it's from) and he's been wearing it since he was born. Of course initially the size written was puzzling - Just One Year it says. Mummy had to fold it at the midriff. Now we know why as it still fits! What value for money huh!

adjusting

It's been a week since we returned but Hugh is still adjusting to his Dubai home which we're sure he's forgotten. Plus it's a lot bigger than our Sg home so he needs Mummy in sight all the time. Yeah, doesn't look too happy here eh?

OSS: operation suck snot

Just as well there isn't a picture for this; quite disgusting really.

Hugh's been having a runny nose the last couple of days and the mucus extractor is a pain to use as the boy isn't exactly gonna lie still for you. Those who've attempted to change his diaper recently will know what I mean. Plus shoving a pointy instrument up the nose is 10 times more invasive, I'll say!

So, standing by coffee, mummy drew a bath for the boy and halfway through... caught him by surprise by flipping him over and sucking out his nasal mucus in a swift, ninja-like manoeuvre. Then immediately ptui, ptui, ptui... downed half a cup of coffee. Worked wonderfully actually. Will definitely reccommend :)

august is a great month!

Indeed, this month is filled with many first's for the boy. He stood on his own, climbed down the bed and walked 3 steps!!!

Hugh loves your toy and it keeps him occupied for quite a while. Think he loves the challenge :)

Caught on video is the boy opening a "talking" present from Johnathon, Pearl and their lovely daughters Nicole and Natalie. At the moment he's chewing on it but we're sure he'll soon learn how to use the stylus.

By the way, Hugh got his first birthday kiss from Natalie too! And there was no blushing :)

the morning after...

The next morning, Hugh still woke up at 7.30 despite having gone to bed at midnight. Perhaps he's excited about opening his presents?

Hugh's learnt the function of the telephone but hasn't quite figured out which is the receiver and which is the speaker :) Good thing though as the person on the other end would most likely be deaf after a convo with the boy.
